One of the more formidable qualities attached nowadays to Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus, is power. Entry after entry, the company has aggressively and intentionally put some of the most significant, game-changing features and specifications into the industry, rivaling and even outshining most of the offerings from giant tech players such as Samsung Electronics, Apple Inc. and even its mainland compatriots like Xiaomi Inc. and Huawei Technologies.

And as with the case right now in the industry, it is quite difficult to retain, much less finding a signature to a company's brand. But if OnePlus is to be taken under a microscope, it appears that the firm is setting just the right amount of features and timing to propel itself to further spotlight.

Case in point is the heavily-speculated OnePlus 4. Much has been rumored about the next-generation iteration with most which pointing to a single fact — the forthcoming entry will be the Android smartphone to beat once it gets launched. Now, the speculations are dying down and turning to actuality.

Courtesy of Chinese social network Weibo, a render and details of OnePlus 4's specifications have surfaced, indicating that the entry may come with the most powerful offerings. Accordingly, the smartphone might be equipped with 6GB or 8GB of random-access memory (RAM). Its native storage will be clocked at a hefty 128GB and will be fueled by an equally massive 4,000-milliapere-hour (mAh) battery.

OnePlus 4 will be encased in a glass bodyshell of 5.3-inch active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels 2K resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset. Meanwhile, the device may be equipped with a dual-camera sensor setup with AR/MR, which stands for Augmented Reality/Mixed Reality.

OnePlus 4 is expected to hit the shelves in 2017.
