OnePlus 3 release date, specs news: New Smartphone to launch on June 14?

Since the OnePlus 2 model was launched in July 2015, there have been no reports heard from OnePlus regarding the development of a new smartphone design. The Chinese electronics company has been quiet for the past several months with their ongoing projects, although some tech enthusiasts received a scoop that OnePlus 3 is definitely happening this year, and OnePlus' launching of their newest smartphone will not be ordinary.
If the rumors are correct, the new OnePlus model will be out on June 14. It is also expected that the OnePlus 3 will be launched in a virtual space station, something that the company has not done with its previous projects. The launching in the virtual space station will happen with the help of a VR headset. OnePlus is said to distribute the VR headsets that will be used during the OnePlus 3 launching days before the July 14 event, Tech Radar reported.
Gadgets 360 reported that OnePlus has already distributed around 30,000 units of VR headsets. According to the reports, the VR headsets will be delivered to customers from other locations like India from June 6 to 7.
The space station-style of launching OnePlus 3 on July 14 was revealed by a leaked conversation by a OnePlus customer service representative. The rumor states that a screenshot of the conversation has been saved to prove the credibility of the leaked information. The OnePlus customer service agent also said that those customers who do not have the VR headset can still witness the launching of OnePlus 3 during the event.
The same Gadgets 360 report claims that OnePlus 3 will feature a lot of improvements from its predecessor. For one, the upcoming smartphone will boast a 5.5-inch screen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels maximum resolution. It will also be powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor, together with 4 GB/6 GB RAM, 32 GB/64 GB internal memory storage, 16 MP rear camera, and an expansive 3,500 mAh battery capacity.
It is also rumored that OnePlus 3 is not going to sport the same appearance as OnePlus 3 as the new model will be having a sleeker and all-metal design.
