'One-Punch Man' season 2 airdate, spoilers: Saitama loses his abilities? What's latest on season 2?

Not much is being given away as far as "One-Punch Man" season 2 is concerned. If rumors are to be believed, then fans of the manga adaptation can expect the follow-up season to air sometime this year.
It will be recalled that the maiden season of the anime series focused on Saitama, the overpowered protagonist who can easily off his enemies with a single punch. It followed his journey to become a licensed superhero while saving the world without due credit.
Aside from its ingenious story, the anime generated much hype after Toonami aired a version of the anime dubbed in English. According to reports, the season 1 English-dubbed version will end its run in mid-October or November, so fans are assuming season 2 will be released shortly thereafter.
As for the sophomore season's plot, there are speculations that it will focus on Saitama as he loses his abilities. Apparently, Genos will take the spotlight from Saitama, which is short of saying there will be a new protagonist for the yet-to-be-determined second installment.
Manga Panda reports that the producers of "One-Punch Man" could actually be waiting for the English-dubbed version to finish airing before they release season 2. Should the rumors be true, fans could hope for a big announcement especially after the wide following the series received.
Moreover, if the speculations concerning the release date of "One-Punch Man" season 2 are to be believed, then the reports from June saying the second season will be out by yearend are probably true.
At any rate, it was the manga's creator, Yusuke Murata, who revealed that he and his team were developing a second season owing to the success of the first one. Hence, while the producers of the anime are not disclosing any major details, fans could hold out hope that season 2 will happen.
