The last two chapters of "One Piece" manga were leading up to the much-anticipated face-off of Monkey D. Luffy and the fearsome female pirate Big Mom. The previous chapter of the popular manga series showed the Straw Hat pirates roaming around Big Mom's Cake Island to observe the locale and devise a plan to rescue Sanji. Unfortunately, there might be other factors that may hinder their mission to retrieve Luffy's number one pirate cook.

Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat pirates have already arrived Big Mom's territory. However, as much as they like to make their presence quiet in the area, Big Mom already knew that they are already on their way to rescue Sanji. Thanks to Pokems, they were able to go through the cake island's security.

In a shocking turn of events, the Straw Hats have crossed paths with Big Mom's daughter, Purin. Fortunately for the Straw Hat pirates, Purin did not put them into trouble. She was also flattered by the pirates' positive comments on her chocolate creation, but she was shocked later on upon learning the names of the newcomers. She knew that they are Sanji's fellow pirate crew. This is where the readers start to doubt Purin's real intentions as she could be plotting something nasty for Luffy and his crew to ensure that her wedding with Sanji will push through.

To make matters worse, Pekoms was suddenly abducted, and no one knows where he is. There are fans sharing their own speculative theories in the One Piece Forum, and one registered thread user under the name sweetjacky said that Purin may have something to do with Pekom's disappearance. Moreover, there is also a possibility that Purin is luring the Strawhat pirates to a trap. After all, Purin stated that she really likes to marry Sanji. It will not be easy for the Luffy to retrieve Sanji, especially with Big Mom and her own daughter standing on his way.
