'One Piece' Chapter 837 air date, plot spoilers: Luffy beats Cracker using Kong gun

"One Piece" will take an exciting turn as characters come together in a big battle featuring some members of the Charlotte and Straw Hats clan.

In the upcoming chapter 837, Monkey D. Luffy faces Charlotte Cracker off in a showdown. It will also be revealed that Eustass Kid, Scratchmen Apoo, Capone Bege and Urouge failed in their bid to take over Big Mom's territory after their defeat to Cracker.

Per Mobile & Apps refresher, chapter 836 saw Randolph getting castigated by Cracker for interfering in the latter's fight. The previous chapter also showed a brewing fight between Luffy and Cracker. In the standoff, Cracker had the combat advantage after multiplying his arms. Nevertheless, Luffy didn't back seem to back down even as Cracker was gaining the upper hand in their fight.

As the excitement grows in the lead-up to the chapter 837 reveal next week, a summary posted on the Oro Jackson forum reveals spoilers. The next chapter will reportedly begin with Luffy getting battered with multiple hits from Cracker as he tries to read the latter's style of fighting.

The summary mentioned that the fight will intensify. Cracker brags that as a biscuit knight, he possesses Brezel, purportedly one of the world's best swords. Luffy looks terribly beatdown but remains unyielding. Nami convinces to Luffy to flee but he continues to show his utmost defiance even in the face of defeat. He repeatedly attacks Big Mom's son using Elephant Gun but to no avail. Cracker remains unscathed with his shield. Then he uttered something that totally got into the Strawhats captain's nerve.

Cracker told Luffy leave Sanji alone. In a quick recall, Luffy leads his crew in a retrieval operation to rescue Sanji Vinsmoke from a forced marriage with Charlotte Purin. The marital union was intended to cement Charlotte Family's alliance with Vinsmoke Family. The tenth Charlotte son continued by insulting Luffy's crew as "filthy low-grade pirates" who are not on par with Sanji's superior status. Clearly outraged, Luffy destroys Cracker's shield with a blasting shot from his Kong gun.

Chapter 837 of the pirate-themed manga series will be released next week.
