Fans predict that a split among the Straw Hats is possible in the upcoming "One Piece" Chapter 821, which will be released in the Weekly Shonen Jump on April 4. Other pirates are also expected to join them as they participate in different missions. As reported by One Piece Podcast, the Weekly Shonen Jump will publish One Piece Chapter 821 on April 4.

Manga Helpers user Spenzimentioned of a team-up among the characters. "The split is real," he further stressed. Spenzi also discussed how Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brooks and Pekoms will team up to save Sanji. The common denominator among everyone he enumerated is that all of them have no involvement in Dressrosa, except the manga series' main character Luffy. Inuarashi and Nekomamushi will team up with Marco, adding that Robin might join their side as well. Meanwhile, among the ones who will save Wano are: Momo, Kanjuro, Kin'emon, Rai, Zoro, Usopp, Franky, Law along with his crew. The minks Carrot, Wanda, Pedro and Sicilian are expected to come up with a team as well.

User Seiryu from OPForum mentioned that recovering Sanji will most probably be the main focus of the manga series. After Luffy's failure to defeat Big Mom, the idea of everyone being split puts Luffy in the losing end."The only peaceful means of resolving rescuing Sanji comes down to actually infiltrating and stealing him back (unlikely with the crew doing this mission) or Lola is actually Big Mom's daughter (i.e. the vivre card Nami has will be the peace-making key). Oda makes one's physical appearance/physical characteristics to be overly linked to one's genetics."

Moreover, Chapter 821 will revolve around Jack's water absorption ability, or anything that makes him dubbed as "The Drought." Seiryu went on discussing, "His minions said he leaves his battlefields dry as if a drought passed through. I assumed it was similar to Crocodile and an instantaneous hissatsu technique (killing move). However with Zunisha crying out in agony, it is implied that the ability is more of a process."
