One Direction Zayn Malik And Louis Tomlinson News: The Daily Show Controversy

One Direction is taking the United States by storm but that doesn't mean they aren't getting some R&R. Zayn Malik accompanied by fiancÃ©e Perrie Edwards, and Louis Tomlinson with girlfriend Eleanor Calder found time to go out on a double date. The date also included a romantic boat ride that allowed them to enjoy the scenery of North Carolina.

Entertainmentwise is also reporting that Zayn stated that he has no plans of leaving the group and that he loves performing with the band. KpopStarz went further, reporting that Perrie Edwards will be accompanying the band during their entire US tour as she wanted to stay close to her fiancÃ©.

The US tour also had its fair share of controversy of the not so serious kind, when the Daily Show mentioned that a One Direction band member was joining a terrorist group. Although it was clearly said in jest , furious One Direction fans took over Twitter to give some strong lashback.

They threatened the show and the female presenter using the hashtag #TheDailyShowGoneTooFar. Turns out that fans thought it was inappropriate for Zayn Malik to be labeled as a terrorist whether in jest or not, and rushed to defend him. This led to more misinformation being spread, and Twitter being wielded as a weapon to verbally clobber the Daily Show.

E! Online reporting on the fan meltdown, described it as "irrational and confusing" since the Daily Show had not specifically mentioned Malik's name. After the backlash from One Direction fans, the Daily Show host Jon Stewart made light of it. He suggested that if fans decided to solve the global warming problem it would be resolved quickly as they were a dedicated lot.

The focus of One Direction fans then quickly moved to a photo of Louis Tomlinson cuddling a monkey which surfaced on Twitter. Unreality TV broke the story, of how the band was shooting a video for the single Steal Your Girl, which led to Tomlinson cuddling the monkey.
