'Once Upon a Time' season 6 spoilers: Co-creator talks Emma's impending death; Belle and Rumple's relationship gets more complicated

Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) fate continues to hang in the balance in ABC's fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time" season 6.
The show's sixth season premiered last Sunday, Sept. 25, with Emma having a vision of herself fighting and losing a battle with a dark-hooded character. Adding to the premonition were the debilitating tremors that almost ended Regina's (Lana Parrilla) life. As it turned out, Emma wasn't the first Savior to be affected. In a series of flashbacks, the episode also featured newcomer Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) dealing with the same problem as he came face-to-face with Jafar (Oded Fehr).
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis confirmed that the identity of the mystery character who stabbed Emma in her vision will be revealed before the Christmas break. Kitsis also mentioned that Emma "could die as early as next week." According to Horowitz, the secret will eventually be unveiled, and fans have to tune in to see how it will come to light. "The question really is does it get out because she tells and decides to do the right thing, or does it get out because she's forced to?" he said. "That is something that is going to happen within the first batch of episodes."
Meanwhile, the creators also confirmed that the birth of Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and Rumple's (Robert Carlyle) child will happen this season. Belle already made it clear to Rumple that she will not repeat her past mistakes, and sharing a home with him back in Storybrooke is not a part of her plan. As Kitsis points out, their relationship will become more complicated this season.
"Belle really is kind of in a place where she's given up on Rumple," he told TV Line, "but they have a child and that makes things messier, because you actually have to put aside your own feelings and put the child first."
The sixth season of "Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday night at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
