'Once Upon a Time' season 6 premiere spoilers: Evil Queen, Regina Mills split personality to be explored, new on-set photos revealed

ABC's top-rating fantasy drama "Once Upon a Time" officially returns for its sixth season this Fall, along with new changes in front and behind the camera.

The storyline for season 6 will focus on the introduction of new characters from The Land of Untold Stories. Mr. Hyde (Sam Witwer) is the new big bad to cause trouble in Storybrooke, and there he will meet the rest of the original characters fans have come to love. Aside from exploring The Land of Untold Stories, the show will also delve deeper into the plot involving the Evil Queen and Regina Mills (both characters are portrayed by Lana Parilla). ABC already released the first promotional photo of the season and it clearly depicts the split personality of the character. With Regina and the Evil Queen existing in the same world, fans can expect chaos to ensue.

Filming started earlier this week and co-creator Adam Horowitz recently posted on-set photos for fans to see. The images definitely did not give anything away but albeit being blurry, there is a clear shot where Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) can be seen. With Emma and Hook in the same photo, could it be a hint that they will take their relationship to a new level? Looking back at how far they have gone, it would be interesting to see what the future holds for the both of them.

The upcoming premiere is titled "The Savior" and according to CarterMatt, the phrase might refer to Emma. She has always been the main protagonist of the story since the series began which can mean that she will evolve into a hero. However, there is also a possibility that the savior is another individual because the show is known to explore different sides of every character.

Catch the season 6 premiere of "Once Upon a Time" which is scheduled to air on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
