The Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) faces off with Zelena (Rebecca Mader), while the reason for Rumple's (Robert Carlyle) hatred for fairies is revealed in the upcoming episode of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" season 6.

Titled "Changelings," next week's episode will see a huge confrontation in Storybrooke. According to the official synopsis for episode 9, a Fairy Tale Land flashback features Rumple as he captures Jack (Nick Hunnings) and Jill's (Tammy Gillis) son and uses him as a bait to lure a powerful creature to him.

Back in Storybrooke, Mr. Gold (also played by Carlyle) tells the Evil Queen that she must end Zelena's life. This forces the Evil Queen to make a big decision that could change her relationship with her sister forever. Upon discovering Gold's plans for their son, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) convinces Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) to help her get squid ink that can temporarily immobilize him. The result of Belle's sacrifice will eventually affect the lives of everyone living in Storybrooke. Aladdin (Deniz Akdeniz) finds a way to be Jasmine's (Karen David) hero, while she finds a genie-less lamp that could be used to save Agrabah.

In an interview with TV Line, co-executive producer Adam Horowitz teased that next week's episode will be quite a game changer for Belle and Rumple. "The audience doesn't know where we're headed with Belle and Rumple, but no matter how dark things get, the show doesn't go bleak. It's still about hope, and it's always darkest before the dawn," he said.

Last Tuesday, Horowitz also tweeted a script tease which is entirely focused on the story arc involving Rumple and Belle. "Here's a #scripttease for the next #OnceUponATime to tide you over for the week off. Hope to see ya 11/27!" the caption reads.

The 6th season of "Once Upon a Time" airs every Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
