'Once Upon a Time' season 5 spoilers: The heroes team up to hunt Gold, Henry goes rogue on a dangerous mission
Last week's episode of "Once Upon a Time" season 5 revealed a shocking plot twist when Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) died, and this Sunday's special two-part finale will surely not disappoint fans.
What happens next after the death of the fan-favorite character? According to the official synopsis, the first part of the finale will feature Regina (Lana Parrilla) as she tries to recover from her love interest Robin's death. Everyone will give her room to mourn, but once the heroes discover that Gold (Robert Carlyle) is responsible for stealing Hades' (Greg Germann) Olympian Crystal, they all set out to hunt him down. Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) is fed up with all the pain magic has caused his family so he decides to go rogue with Violet (Olivia Steele Falconer) to ruin magic once and for all. Meanwhile, Hook (Colin O'Donoghue), Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), David (Josh Dallas) and Zelena (Rebecca Mader) will team up to try opening a portal which will bring Merida and other Storybrook guests back to their homes. However, things turn out for the worst as the group ends up in a crazy new world.
In the second part, the fate of magic and Storybrooke hangs in the balance, so regina and Emma must catch Henry first before Gold finds him. On another note, Regina's struggle to come into terms with her former evil self continues. Elsewhere, Zelena, David, Hook and Snow are imprisoned in the deranged world they wound up in as they contend with two weird individuals.
The official summary for the two-part special finale reads:
"Regina wrestles with her inner demons as she reels from the loss of Robin Hood when Henry goes on a dangerous rogue mission, and a portal is opened into a strange and twisted realm."
