In the early stages of the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder are barely staying afloat as they share the top spot in the Northwest Division with the Portland Trail Blazers.

With a 9-8 record, the Thunder have slowed down as expected due to the lack of options they have on the floor.

Russell Westbrook has emerged as a clear MVP candidate this season with his excellent play and stats, but the Thunder need more if they want to reach the playoffs and possibly surprise everyone with a deep run in the post-season.

There have been various rumors revolving around the team recently, but one of the more recent is a deal linking them to the Washington Wizards.

The Wizards have two stars hoping to carry the load and bring them to the playoffs in the East. However, they are clearly struggling and many suggest that it could be the time to bring in new players to change the dynamic of the team.

In comes this trade rumor linking Marcin Gortat, Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre to move to the Thunder in exchange for a plethora of players including Enes Kanter, Andre Roberson and Kyle Singler.

This may seem like an interesting deal but the Thunder may want to look closely at this option. Losing Kanter and replacing him with Gortat may be a step back as Gortat is a lot older and Kanter is much better especially on the offensive end.

The biggest addition may be Porter who is a solid scorer and averages 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game this year. He would definitely be a new scorer in the team.

However, the Thunder will have to lose Roberson who is one of their best perimeter defenders and one who has a key role in stopping the other forwards from their rivals.

It should be interesting to see how this deal may develop later on.
