'No Man's Sky' release date update: Hello Games' Sean Murray confirms release, no VR version

Fans are pretty excited that "No Man Sky" has finally been announced. It has been considered as one of the most anticipated games of 2016. With all the rumors and speculation about the game's features and its release, Sean Murray, managing director of Hello Game, has finally confirmed that "No Man Sky" will be launched on June 21, 2016.

This is great news for gamers who have been patiently waiting for updates and announcements from the company.

"No Man Sky" is a science-fiction game set in an infinite procedurally generated universe. The concept of the game is basically a war set in the galaxy.

Since the company unveiled the game at Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 last year, they have been mum about the details. Apparently, Hello Games were doing their best to complete the game to make sure it works great rather than pay attention to various rumors that have been circulating since 2015.

Meanwhile, the game will not be included in the PlayStation VR, which would be a bit of a disappointment to some fans who believed the previous rumors that "No Man Sky" will be carried by the Japanese gaming console's VR technology.

During his interview with Kinda Funny Games, Murray cites the difficulty of working with a small team and trying to make it compatible with the new VR technology. He said that they have a timeframe to follow and there was no more time to insert the possibility of a VR version of the game.

Nevertheless, Murray admitted that "No Man Sky" would be great in VR technology. The concept of the game is certainly made for that.

"I think 'No Man's Sky' would be a really exciting title for VR. I think it would be cool, but we're a tiny team working on this game right now," Murray said.
