Nintendo Switch release date, news, update: UK retailer announces guaranteed preorder price; Device to have motion controls?

Nintendo has yet to give a set price for the upcoming Nintendo Switch, but a UK retailer recently announced a guaranteed preorder price for anticipating consumers.
GameSeek, a retailer based in the UK, is currently taking preorders for the much-hyped portable console with a guaranteed price of GBP198.50 ($246.79). Given that Nintendo still has not revealed the Nintendo Switch's final price, the UK retailer has either leaked the price or taken a huge risk.
As indicated on the official website of GameSeek, preorder prices for the Switch are guaranteed. This means that if the price increases after consumers place their order, they will pay the lower price. Unfortunately, what happens when the price decreases is unclear. Consumers may possibly be blocked into the original listed price since the guarantee is not discussed in detail in the company's terms and conditions.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch continues to garner positive feedback from notable personalities in the gaming industry. After the Wii U reportedly underperformed and let down some fans, retailer GameStop seems optimistic about the latest console from Nintendo.
During an earnings briefing yesterday (Nov. 23), GameStop CEO Paul Raines mentioned that he had a chance to play the console and was completely impressed with its features. "The Nintendo Switch, which I played at Nintendo a few weeks ago—we believe could be another game-changer that will expand the audience for gaming," the exec said.
Raines also revealed that the Nintendo Switch may have some sort of motion controls which makes it stand out from other consoles in the market. "The Switch is a very interesting device.... A movement-related game is more fun for kids, you know, taking those [Joy-con controllers off] and then the master controller, you can really do a lot of interesting things with that in gameplay," he added.
The Nintendo Switch officially goes on sale in March 2017.
