Looks like gamers will get the chance to check out the Nintendo Switch before it launches when it goes on a six-city tour. The company has announced (via The Verge) that a multi-city tour will start in New York on Jan. 13–15. Nintendo will showcase the Switch for three days at each city, and interested gamers may try out the hybrid console on the final day of each stop.

"The Sunday stop of each tour is open free to the public, so anyone that wants to be among the first people in the world to experience Nintendo Switch will have her or his chance. Space is very limited, however, and fans will be let in on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is highly recommended," the company announced.

After New York, Nintendo will also make stops at Toronto (Jan. 27 to 29), Washington, DC (Feb. 10–12), Chicago (Feb. 17–19), San Francisco (Feb. 24–26), and Los Angeles (March 3–5). The company also announced that they will be bringing the Switch to PAX South in San Antonio (Jan. 27-29), PAX East in Boston (March 10-12), and SXSW in Austin, Texas (March 16–18). Sources say that the public will have full access to the Switch on the PAX and SXSW events.

So, which games will Nintendo bring with them? The company has yet to reveal any specific games, but a number of sources believe one of them is going to be "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild."

Meanwhile, reports say the Switch may feature virtual reality (VR) support. This report hasn't been verified yet, but a patent the company filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office seems to indicate that this may be the case.

The company will reveal more details during the Switch presentation on Jan. 12. The Switch is scheduled to hit the market on March 2017.
