Nintendo Switch accessories spotted in Australian website back up rumors of a USB-C ported device

Interest in Nintendo's upcoming console, Nintendo Switch, continues to mount as it nears its public rollout date in March. What is much sooner is a planned press launch event for the platform just a month away in which the company promises a slew of details regarding its latest product. While the time between now and those designated schedules is arguably just a short wait, eager onlookers continue to scour online for any early information they can gobble. This resulted in a recent discovery of accessories options for the new console that are said to have been presold online already.
Posted on the Australian video game website, EB Games, as reported by Nintendo Life, is a product listing for an extra long charging cable roughly 10-feet long. While that in itself is not very fascinating, it roundabout confirms that the Nintendo Switch will be using USB-C which would make for a more convenient and fast charging process. Previous devices from the Japanese tech giant were outfitted with bespoke ports for chargers that call for special arrangements in terms of filling up the batteries for the gadgets.
A second listing also details a hardshell case for Switch, which looks reminiscent of 3DS and Vita accessories. This is only apt given the platform's mobility capabilities making it easier to stuff the device in a bag or even just hold it as it is without the risk of easily damaging it.
As both of these merchandises are tipped to only be a slip in terms of being already posted online, the cable as well as the case listings have already been taken down. But not without other websites spotting them first making them a great cause of conversation regarding the hybrid console.
Meanwhile, as potential buyers ogle these supposed accessories, the Nintendo Switch slowly builds up its content listing with third-party software makers boarding the project. The latest of them is THQ Nordic, which has revealed that they are working on two games specifically for the forthcoming platform. Unfortunately, the group did not disclose the games as of yet but fans can expect some game announcements this Jan. 13 when more details regarding the console are expected to be spilled during Nintendo's press-only event in New York.
