Nintendo NX release date, updates, rumors: Mass production delayed to append VR feature?

Nintendo has first announced that the release of their next home console is expected to happen sometime in March 2017. However, there are rumors suggesting that the next generation of Nintendo consoles dubbed as Nintendo NX will be further delayed as the Japanese gaming electronics giant is said to pause the mass production of the new units in order to add a crucial feature to the device.
The virtual reality (VR) features in present video games have become a thing in today's gaming experience, and many game and tech enthusiasts believe that Nintendo is planning to go with the flow and make NX a big competitor in the market with its VR functionality. Digi Times reported that the supposed mass production of Nintendo NX in the middle of 2016 will no longer push through. Foxconn, Nintendo's manufacturing partner, will now commence the production of the new devices in the early part of 2017, possibly within the year's first quarter.
The delay in the scheduled production is not seen as a burden in the projected performance of Nintendo NX, as the inclusion of VR features in the device's final blueprint will be a big selling factor. This way, Nintendo NX will have greater advantage in the future video games with its VR support.
As there is a change in the early schedule of production, the previously announced March 2017 launch of Nintendo NX will no longer happen, although both Nintendo and Foxconn did not disclose any information regarding the new release date of the device.
There is a tight competition among the giant electronic entertainment companies as Nintendo's rivals in the electronic gaming industry, Sony and Microsoft, are also rumored to develop their new console devices, namely the PlayStation NEO and Xbox Two.
Rumor has it that Nintendo is planning to build up NX as a superior device to go against PlayStation NEO that is rumored to be an updated version of PS4 with 4K screen resolution feature. Nintendo NX is also expected to rival Xbox Two next year. that is why Nintendo is trying to develop a powerful gaming device by using the modified version of Polaris GPU created by AMD.
