Nintendo NX release date, news, rumors: NX will be more powerful than Wii U; Early reveal expected on Oct. 21?

Nintendo has not yet shared important details regarding their upcoming home console, the Nintendo NX. It was first reported that the Nintendo NX will be released during the first quarter of 2017. However, according to the latest rumors, there is a chance that Nintendo will let the public have the first peek at the console this October.
There are rumors that the upcoming Nintendo Direct broadcast will be having a very special announcement concerning the Nintendo NX. While the console is not expected to be out in the market at least by March 2017, it is possible that the Nintendo NX will be unveiled earlier. In this case, the Nintendo Direct on Oct. 21 may have the Nintendo NX in the presentation. If ever this pans out, the unveiling of the Nintendo NX will coincide with the fifth anniversary of Nintendo Direct.
The Nintendo Direct broadcast can be a nice stage to announce a huge gaming gadget such as Nintendo NX. Nintendo often unveils most of their games on Nintendo Direct just like how they showcase their products at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).
On the other hand, there are more reports confirming that the Nintendo NX is indeed the greatest gaming console yet from the Japanese electronic gaming company, even better than the current Wii U console. According to WCCF Tech, Nintendo NX will best out Wii U in many ways. For one, the Nintendo NX is expected to have three to four times greater gigaflops than Wii U.
One of the rumored impressive features of Nintendo NX is that it will be powered by an NVIDIA Pascal Tegra, thus the players can expect a high-quality HD game graphics that are even better than the Wii U's graphics feature.
So far, it is said that the Nintendo NX will be a hybrid home console. It is expected to be a gaming console with detachable controllers, which will turn the NX into a handheld console just like the Nintendo 3DS. Not much is known about the expected hybrid nature of the Nintendo NX, and it is better to wait for Nintendo's announcements regarding the gadget's actual features.
