Nintendo NX release date news 2016: Nintendo announces the NX; console coming March 2017

The Japanese multinational consumer electronics and software company, Nintendo, has recently announced that they are going to release a new video game console, which is set to be rolled out on March 27, 2017.
"For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed 'NX' with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally," the company wrote in a report by Nintendo Everything.
The announcement was also posted on the company's Twitter account on April 27. "The next generation of #Nintendo is coming March 2017! #NX"
Nintendo has also stated their intention to delay the release of the popular classic video game, "The Legend of Zelda." According to the company, they will roll out the title simultaneously for Nintendo NX and Wii U.
"The latest installment in this classic franchise is scheduled to launch simultaneously for both Wii U and NX, and both versions of the game have been in development in tandem. Because developers need more time to polish the game, it will launch in 2017, but it will be the focus of Nintendo's presence at E3," the company stated on their website.
The Japanese video game giant also said that the company is not going to unveil the Nintendo NX at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 in Los Angeles. Instead, they will give their attention to the upcoming "The Legend of Zelda." However, Nintendo said that they will have a separate launching for its newest console later this year.
Meanwhile, many fans welcomed the Nintendo NX announcement with full of excitement. After so many months of numerous rumors and speculations, the much-anticipated video game console has finally become official. Nonetheless, Nintendo fanatics will have to extend their patience as the system will not be released until next year. It will be interesting to know how the gaming community receive the upcoming console once it hits the market.
