Nintendo NX release date news 2016: Latest console to replace Wii U? Mass production to commence soon

It is not often for Nintendo to talk about their next big home console, the Nintendo NX. Many tech fans and spectators are expecting that the mass production and the eventual launching of Nintendo NX will happen sometime this year, although the Japanese-based electronic gaming company has kept mum regarding the developments of their current project. However, Nintendo has recently announced the production stage of the Nintendo NX, and it is expected that the device will be ready for release soon.
Yibada reported that Nintendo NX is possible to be released in the early months of 2017, especially if the rumors will verify that Nintendo is about to start the mass production of the Nintendo NX units. It is rumored that the mass production of Nintendo NX will commence later this year. For now, Nintendo has started revealing the details of their new console, bit by bit.
Some of the rumored reasons for the Nintendo NX's delay is the plan to append virtual reality (VR) features in the console. Nintendo is rumored to halt the ongoing production of Nintendo NX to follow up the VR capabilities of the device. The iTech Post even reported that the company was about to unveil the NX officially at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 last month, although it never became a part of their presentation during the event. Nintendo spokesperson Shigeru Miyamoto claimed that Nintendo was worried that other companies would imitate the NX's specifications, that's why they chose to skip the E3 announcement.
According to Vine Report, Nintendo general manager and director Hirokazu Shinshi revealed during the company's recent event that Nintendo NX is poised to compensate for the company's recent losses over the years. There are reports that their current home console, Wii U, has not been doing well against today's top gaming platforms. Shinshi further stated that Nintendo NX is important for the future of the company. However, as the company sees NX as their savior, its release could also be the end of the production of Wii U, although Nintendo did not confirm the rumored cease of production of Wii.
