Many followers of Nintendo were expecting that the company's upcoming console would be announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 last week. Dubbed as NX, the powerful gaming console is said to be Nintendo's biggest offering yet that will compete with the other big products in the market, such as the PlayStation NEO and Xbox Scorpio. However, Nintendo NX is a no-show at E3 which left many people wondering when the home console will be unveiled.

According to the recent rumors, Nintendo NX will be unveiled to the public sometime in Fall 2016. As reported by Yibada, NX is more likely to be revealed before the end of autumn this year. Specifically, the console is expected to appear in September.

The rumored September appearance of Nintendo NX may not be a far-fetched idea after all, as there will be another big event similar to E3 during that month. While E3 has always been the most preferred venue for many electronic entertainment companies to announce their latest projects, it is possible that Nintendo will choose the Tokyo Game Show 2016 instead to unveil NX, Tech Times reported.

If this were the case, then NX is still set to compete with Sony and Microsoft's anticipated huge products in the near future. Rumor has it that Nintendo is planning to build up NX as a superior device to go against PlayStation NEO that is rumored to be an updated version of PS4 with 4K screen resolution feature. Nintendo NX is also expected the next version of Xbox next year, that is why Nintendo is trying to develop a powerful gaming device by using the modified version of Polaris GPU created by AMD.

Moreover, NX is expected to include virtual reality features to offer more exciting gaming experience for the users. In fact, there are reports that the anticipated release of Nintendo NX next year will be delayed to include the VR features. Digi Times reported that the supposed mass production of Nintendo NX in the middle of 2016 will no longer push through. Foxconn, Nintendo's manufacturing partner, will now commence the production of the new devices in the early part of 2017, possibly within the year's first quarter.
