Nintendo NX news, updates, rumors: Electronic Arts to port games for the upcoming console in 2017

As Nintendo already confirmed the arrival of their latest gaming console codenamed as "NX" in the near future, there have been reports that several game developers are now preparing to develop or port their popular games into the upcoming console.
Nintendo has kept mum regarding the video games that are confirmed to be redeveloped and made compatible with the console that they are currently developing. However, the latest rumors circulating the internet suggest that Electronic Arts has already made the first step into porting their games into the Nintendo NX.
While there is still no confirmation coming out of Nintendo or Electronic Arts regarding the rumors, a recent interview of Electronic Arts Vice President Patrick Soderlund with BBC sparked the speculations that the gamers may actually see well-known EA games in the forthcoming Nintendo console in the future.
Soderlund revealed that Electronic Arts has been in "constant communication" with the Japanese-based video game creator and electronics company. This could mean that the negotiation for some EA video games being ported to Nintendo NX is still ongoing. It is possible that the rumored "Battlefield 1" with the First World War theme will make an appearance in the console once the two are released in the market.
Electronic Arts is not the only game developer company rumored to port games into Nintendo NX, as Gizmodo UK reported that Square Enix is also preparing "Dragon Quest X" and "Dragon XI" to be repackaged and made playable in Nintendo NX. Nintendo's own upcoming video games such as the new "Mario" and the new "The Legend of Zelda" entry could also be released in NX.
Nintendo has revealed through their latest financial results that the NX console will be released worldwide in March 2017.
"For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed "NX" with a brand-new concept... NX will be launched in March 2017 globally," Nintendo stated in their report.
