'Nintendo NX' news, rumors: Console to get Wii U ports; More powerful than PS4, Xbox One?
There have been a lot of rumors being passed on in the online gaming community regarding Nintendo's upcoming game console. Dubbed as the "Nintendo NX," many people are expecting that this latest gadget offering from the game tech giant based in Japan is going to be their greatest work yet with new exciting features. The latest rumors about Nintendo NX suggest that the upcoming console will be designed to allow Wii U games to be ported over.
The rumor of Nintendo NX having Wii U ports started with a NeoGAF user posting several claims on the internet about the console's features. Two of the biggest Wii U games that are rumored to be playable in the upcoming Nintendo game console are "Legend of Zelda" and "Super Smash Bros 4." Yibada noted that the reported "Legend of Zelda" release in Nintendo NX is not a far-fetched idea since the Wii game has grown very popular among the gamers and it will be a wise move to put a huge game in a newly launched console. Other games that are rumored to come to Nintendo NX are "Super Mario Maker" and "Splatoon," although the NeoGAF user did not disclose more information about the two due to "technical problems."
The NeoGAF user claimed that the supposed leaks all came from his "reliable" sources, which include a number of contacts and insiders in the large Japanese multinational company which are feeding him with latest real scoops from time to time. Some of the rumors shared by the anonymous user come in a little too ambitious, as he claimed that the CPU, RAM, and GPU features of Nintendo NX will be far more impressive than those of Sony's PlayStation 4.
It was already reported recently that Nintendo is planning to make their upcoming console more powerful than its competitors in the market, specifically Sony's new generation console flagship. iDigital Times reported that Nintendo NX will be a notable gaming technology of this generation that is aimed to top PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One.
The same report from Yibada also cited that Nintendo NX is set to arrive by the end of the year, although there are still no announcements or confirmation about the matter from Nintendo. In spite of this, many fans are still expecting the newest Nintendo project to be introduced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in June.
