Nostalgia for the win indeed.

Nintendo is now reaping the benefits it had previously banked on in its retro devices and nostalgic announcements, courtesy of "Super Mario Run" and the company's newest (derived from one of its oldest iterations) offering in consoles, the Nintendo NES Classic Edition.

TechCrunch has revealed that Nintendo NES Classic has sold out in a matter of seconds when Amazon made the console's supply available on Nov. 11, 2 p.m. PT. Its page showed "currently unavailable" to consumers who tried to avail of the hotly anticipated product just seconds after availability was announced. Despite this, the retailer has not disclosed the reason for the occurrence. It could either be that the console's supply has indeed run out or it was just a technical glitch.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that people are waiting quite patiently to get their hands on the Nintendo NES Classic Edition at retailers such as Target, Best Buy and GameStop. To quell the nerves of the impatient buyers, Nintendo of America has taken to its official Twitter account and announced, "The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition system is a hot item, and we are working hard to keep up with consumer demand. 1/3".

The craze behind the console is very much understandable. With the onslaught of highly advanced offerings as of late, people are clamoring for something that is tangible from their childhood. But for those who are in doubt whether the console would not get equipped with some of the most relevant specifications, they should worry not.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything has released a "teardown" video, outing the specifications and features of the newest console. Priced at $59.99, the console boasts a smaller structure than the original NES. Along with controllers, the device's ports are all soldered onto a single circuit board. It comes with a processor that includes 30 preprogrammed, classic games such as "Donkey Kong," "Super Mario Bros" and "PAC-MAN."
