Nina Dobrev news 2016: Julianne Hough friendship shown off, 'Vampire Diaries' actress returns to show as villain?
Fans of Nina Dobrev know very well that she and Julianne Hough are the best of friends, and the duo recently became the latest brand ambassadors of The Giving Keys.
The two ladies recently shot photos for the Los Angeles-based jewelry company's latest #bestfriendkeys collection, sharing details about how their friendship started and what kept them bonded over the years. "We were actually introduced by our friend and hairstylist Riawna Capri," Hough told PeopleStyle. "We just hit it off instantly. We're really similar so becoming friends was easy."
Since Dobrev and Hough both like giving each other gifts, being a part of a company with "giving" in its name makes perfect sense. Aside from being a partner of the non-profit Chrysalis which aims to help low-income and homeless individuals be self-sufficient, The Giving Keys also encourages people to "pay it forward" by passing their pieces along to someone in need.
Dobrev believes that it is difficult to face obstacles in life alone, and having a "strong support system" is what everyone needs. "I believe that is what drew me to this campaign," she said. "Unity. Friendship.
Finally accepting that it's okay to need someone who in a sense is a pillar in your life. The Giving Keys has always been an amazing pay it forward company that supports and helps homeless people. They've been 'that friend that you need' so many who haven't had that this far to get them off their feet."
On another note, rumor has it that Dobrev will return to "The Vampire Diaries" for its upcoming 8th season as the new big bad. The previous season featured the voice of Dobrev's character Elena being heard in the background as Damon (Ian Somerhalder) calls out her name.
Dobrev's return is not yet confirmed, but since the supernatural series airs this Fall, more details are expected soon.
