NFL trade rumors 2016: New Orleans Saints and Anquan Boldin to come to a deal?

As summer continues in the National Football League, the action continues to heat up and the New Orleans Saints are in for some big-name acquisitions.
According to Real GM, the Saints are closing in on a deal that could send wide receiver Anquan Boldin to Louisiana.
The report reveals that the Saints are continuing to push for the Boldin acquisition, and are using all the leverages they have to sign the 35-year-old.
New Orleans have John Morton as their receivers coach, and he has a tight relationship with Boldin as they worked two seasons together at San Francisco.
And if they can land Boldin, it means New Orleans will get the biggest free-agent wide receiver this summer, with Boldin initially entertaining offers from the Washington Redskins and Detroit Lions.
Boldin has spent three seasons with the 49ers, having the least amount of success in the last season.
With the Niners, Boldin played 14 total games and received 69 passes for a total of 789 yards. In the season, he caught four total touchdowns and had a catch rate of 62 percent.
The three-time Pro Bowler enjoyed his best season back in 2008 when he played for the Arizona Cardinals. At 28 years old, Boldin caught 89 passes for 1038 yards and scored a total of 11 touchdowns.
Now at 35 years old, Boldin may have lost his speed, but he has a lot of experience and can bring a championship pedigree if ever he lands a spot with the Saints.
Regarding his salary, Boldin's biggest payday was back in 2010 with the Baltimore Ravens.
Last year, he earned around $6 million, with $5.5 million as his basic salary and a $500,000 roster bonus.
It is understood that the Saints are working on the same amount of money to try and acquire Boldin this season.
