Google could be set to add another tablet to its lineup this year and fans have reason to believe that it will be the Nexus 7 2016.
Rumor has it that the California-based company is currently negotiating with Huawei to make the new Nexus iteration. Although there is no official announcement from both Google and Huawei, fans are speculating that the current discounts on Nexus products is one of the obvious indications that something big is on its way.
One of the discounted Nexus products in the market today is the Nexus 5X. The device has a Project Fi option and carries a 16 GB internal storage. The base model is being priced at $199. The high-end Nexus 5X model, which has a 32 GB internal storage capability is on display for $249. However, according to reports, the discounted offers for these devices will only be available up until April 7.
Fans believe that the timing of these new Nexus deals tells consumers that the new Nexus 7 might be unveiled anytime soon.
There are reports that suggest Huawei is currently developing a design for the new Nexus 7, which will be presented during the next Google I/O Conference. The next Google event is scheduled to happen in May 2016.
If the rumors prove to be true, fans may be able to see the revelation of the upcoming Nexus 7 tablet, which will be followed by the product's release date. According to some fans, the roll out of the new Nexus tablet might happen in mid-2016.
