The gang begins renovation on Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece's (Hannah Simone) new fixer-upper in the upcoming episode of Fox's hit comedy "New Girl" season 6.

Titled "Jaipur Aviv," next week's episode will see main characters go DIY. According to the official synopsis for episode 5, the gang will help Cece and Schmidt do repairs for their new house. Meanwhile, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) convinces everyone to vote whether or not they want to let Reagan (Megan Fox) back into the loft. Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) make a surprising discovery, while Schmidt and Cece's opposing views will lead them to learn the art of compromise.

Fox recently released a new promo for the upcoming episode, and it seems that the renovation will not go smoothly as planned. Nick appears to be absentmindedly polishing the floor, while Jess struggles to peel a wallpaper off the wall. While shopping for new home appliances, Cece's choices lead Schmidt to have an emotional outburst. "You think that we're greeting people in our home to 'La Cucaracha?'" an infuriated Nick tells Cece.

The previous episode of "New Girl" staged a special crossover with another Fox comedy, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." In part two of the hour-long crossover, Jess and the loftees went to New York because Schmidt thought he was being honored by his high school. It turned out that  the school is actually recognizing various individuals as part of a fundraising effort. Schmit ended up being devastated since he was expecting to show his high school bullies how far he'd come. While out getting a comfort soup for Schmidt, Jess met "Brooklyn Nine-Nine's" Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), who was pursuing a criminal that time. She ended up meeting the rest of the Nine-Nine squad in the episode.

The sixth season of "New Girl" airs every Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
