'NCIS' Season 14 news, update, spoilers, rumors: Show to be 'totally reset;' Previous agents' daughter to continue the story?

 CBS has already confirmed the shows that will be renewed for a new season, and the hit crime mystery TV series "NCIS" is one of them. The fourteenth season of "NCIS" may actually lead the fans to a new chapter as it was confirmed by the series' executive producer that the show needs to get a "complete reset."

As reported by The Inquisitr, "NCIS" Season 14 will have to adjust its story as its big lead star, Michael Weatherly, has left the show at the end of Season 13. "NCIS" showrunner Gary Glasberg said that the plot of the series will have to cope up with the disappearance of DiNozzo's character on the show, and to do that, the upcoming season will feature a major reset in the storyline.

"NCIS" has already suffered a lot of main characters being out of the show. Aside from DiNozzo, there are several actors like Cote De Pablo that already made an exit prior to the renewal of "NCIS." Still, many other mainstays in the series are reported to have signed for Season 14, including Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette.Still, even with the old timers being on the show, Glasberg said that the show has to move forward in order to cope up with the loss of the main characters. To do that, the story needs to be reset before the show return this year for a new chapter.

Resetting the show may be a good idea after all, and as Movie News Guide reported, the upcoming season may try to bring back the same mystery and funny theme that existed in the first few seasons of "NCIS."

It is also rumored that the introduction of the daughter of Ziva David and DiNozzo, Tali, will be the beginning of the major "NCIS" reset as the new character might be continuing the narration of the previous agents' story, TV Line reported.
