The NCIS team investigates on the motive behind a petty officer's kidnapping in the upcoming episode of CBS' long-running procedural "NCIS" season 14.
Titled "Shell Game," the episode airing next week will center on a kidnapping. According to the official synopsis, a petty officer gets kidnapped and successfully escapes her captor. During the investigation, the NCIS team discovers a connection to the victim's missing husband. This week's episode titled "Philly" gave viewers a little more information on the backstory of NCIS newcomer Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito). The episode also saw the return of MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Duane Henry), who has been promoted as a series regular for season 14 after his introduction in the final two episodes of season 13.
Speaking with Parade, Henry shared his thoughts on his character's comeback. "It's really interesting how it has all happened, starting last season so late, so I was hitting the ground running," he said. According to the actor, everyone in the show made him feel welcome, which made his adjustment easier. However, he admitted that the only issue he had was "relaxing and having fun" because he tends to intensely do things.
Henry joins a number of newcomers playing roles of NCIS agents this season, including Esposito and Wilmer Valderrama. The actor also pointed out that there is an interesting chemistry between the old and new cast members. "It is a whole new kettle of fish," he continued," so it is exciting to put everything in one can, shake it up, and open it, and we will all see together what it looks like."
The 14th season of "NCIS" airs every Tuesday night at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
