'NCIS' season 13 spoilers news: Tony DiNozzo bids goodbye, Michael Weatherly gives hints about his final episode

Next week's finale of "NCIS" season 13 will be bittersweet and different than the previous ones, as viewers will witness the departure of a well-loved veteran character in the show â€” Anthony "Tony" DiNozzo Jr.

In next week's finale, agents from the FBI, MI6 and NCIS will continue with their mission to take down escaped British spy Scott who victimizes current agents as well as the former officers. It is also the farewell episode for Special Agent Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) who is one of the show's original cast members since it premiered thirteen years ago.

The veteran actor recently caught up with TV Guide where he hinted that the episode will definitely shock fans. He even mentioned that fans will just say "holy s---!" the morning after the finale, which could mean a lot of things. As expected, Weatherly won't say how Tony will be written off in the plot, but he teased that viewers will have an "overwhelmingly positive reaction" to the way he leaves. Good news is that it surely won't be the last time fans will see him since Weatherly admitted that he is open to guest star either in "NCIS" or its New Orleans and Los Angeles spinoffs series.

Weatherly also shared his experience in filming the finale which seemed like a fun experience for him. "I discovered an aspect of DiNozzo that had never been revealed before, and it truly surprised me," he discussed in front of reporters in a conference call. "In that scene, I didn't recognize any Michael Weatherly at all, and very little Tony DiNozzo. It was more like DiNozzo to give Gibbs mouth-to-mouth resuscitation than this thing that he does in the last episode."

The much-awaited season 13 finale of "NCIS" is scheduled to air this coming Tuesday, May 17 at 8 p.m. on CBS. The show has been confirmed to run until 2018, but the network has yet to release an exact premiere date. Based on the previous years, "NCIS" season 14 is expected to premiere around September of this year.
