'NCIS: New Orleans' season 2 finale spoilers, plot news: Team probes on a high-profile case involving a spy and a huge security breach; is the mole one of them?
Police procedural spinoff series "'NCIS: New Orleans" concludes its sophomore run this coming Tuesday, and fans will witness yet another action-packed episode as the team probes on a high profile case.

On Tuesday's episode 24 titled "Sleeping with the Enemy," the NCIS crew are knee-deep in a new crime that could possibly involve one of their own. As noted in the official synopsis, the sophomore season-ender will focus on the team as they seek the help of the Department of Homeland Security in locating 900 pounds of missing explosives. These bombs can kill a lot of innocvent lives in New Orleans and the team needs to find it as soon as they can. meanwhile, they also come to realize that someone whom they thought of as a friend has actually been betraying them.
In an interview with TV Guide, executive producer Garry Glasberg hinted that the mole could be anyone, and fans will have a difficult time guessing who that person is. "We'll play the mystery of that, point fingers at people, maintain the curiosity of where the leak is coming from, and then ... ultimately sort of pull the rug out from everybody," he said.
The showrunner also added that the investigation itself and the issue with a person spying against them will gravely affect Pride. "He's got some decisions to make, and some issues to face," Glasberg explained. "And now, with this really significant case that will tie him in a complex way to decisions being made in Washington ... he's going to be facing some really significant adversaries. He already carries the weight of New Orleans on his shoulders, so this will add to that as well."
Catch the final episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" season 2 on May 17, Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on CBS. The network has yet to announce further details about season 3, but it will likely premiere sometime around September of this year.
