A graduate student developing a weapon for the Navy is attacked in the upcoming episode of the hit CBS procedural spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles" season 8.

Titled "Parallel Resistors," this coming Sunday's episode will explore one case that turns out to be connected to international warfare. According to the official synopsis for episode 8, a graduate student working on an electromagnetic weapon for the Navy is attacked. As the investigation moves forward, the NCIS team discovers that there's more to the case than they initially expected. It turns out that the attack was related to international warfare, and they must track down the culprit before he attacks again. Meanwhile, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) is still recovering and continues to undergo grueling physical therapy after sustaining a serious spinal injury.

"NCIS: LA" and "Densi" fans have been waiting for a long time to see Kensi and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) get engaged, and this week's episode certainly rewarded them with not just one, but multiple proposals. In the episode titled "Crazy Train," Deeks popped the question for the second time this season as he got down on one knee in Kensi's recovery facility.

Unfortunately for the agent, his proposal was turned down by Kensi. She teared up as she insisted that she doesn't want them to be engaged that way. Kensi's recuperation is certainly taking a toll on Deeks' personal life and career, and the higher-ups in the department are starting to notice his head is not entirely in the game.

Hetty (Linda Hunt) and Sam (LL Cool J) had a sit-down with Deeks and asked him if he needed a break until his girlfriend is out of the woods, but he declined the offer. It remains to be revealed what happens to their relationship, but there are speculations that they will take a time off from each other if Kensi continues to push Deeks away.

Tune in to all-new episodes of "NCIS: Los Angeles" every Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
