'NCIS: Los Angeles': Season 7 spoilers news: Finale concludes with a bang, season 8 to premiere on September?

The seventh season of hit police procedural spinoff series "NCIS: Los Angeles" ended with an action-packed episode early this month, and fans can't wait to see all-new episodes of their favorite show.
Tensions ran high in the show's concluding episode as it featured Sam Hanna's (LL Cool J) son Aiden (Tye White), who was taken hostage while in his military school located in San Francisco. Apparently, the hostage-taker was Tahir Khaled (Anslem Richardson), a character who was last seen in the seventeenth episode only to reappear again to get back at the team. Tahir was eventually stopped, and Hanna almost killed him. His reaction was expected, since the victim involved was his son. However, he thought about Aiden so he just handed Tahir over to the cops.
In a recent interview with TV Guide, executive producer Scott Gemmill weighed in on Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks' (Eric Christian Olsen) relationship and what lies ahead for the couple in the upcoming season 8. As fans know, the two are still undecided when it comes to their engagement. "We will not see, I don't think, a proper proposal until next season, because we have an idea for how to do that that I want to play out," the showrunner said. "I already know how we're going to do it. It's just, the fans have waited long enough that we want it to be worth the wait."
Will the two ever have kids? Given that they are both so absorbed in their own careers, it is an important matter that the execs still need to work out. "That's a real conversation that has to be had, and possibly more than once," Gemmill admitted. "I think it's one thing to say it now, but it's another thing as time goes on and situations change. Once they are officially engaged, then I think that conversation will come back again. And it's tricky, because neither one of them wants to give up their career, and can you have two parents in life-and-death situations on a daily basis? Is that proper parenting, or is that negligence in some way?"
CBS already confirmed season renewal for "NCIS: Los Angeles" but details about the plot, cast or release date has yet to be revealed to the public. However, based on previous seasons, the show will likely return to the small screen around September of this year.
