NBC's new sitcom suggests Jesus is pro same-sex marriage

In a recent episode of NBC's new sitcom, "Superstore", Glenn, a Christian store manager, asks Mateo, a gay employee, to create a special wedding section in the store. Glenn tells Mateo that he wants everyone who comes into his store to feel accepted.

His speech then opens a discussion about Jesus supporting same-sex marriage and pro-gay adoption. The writers go as far as to speculate that Jesus himself may be gay in the episode titled "Wedding Day Sale".

Well known theologian, R.C. Sproul, has previously said that the image of Jesus is treated like a chameleon; he is forced to adapt to the backdrop painted by an individual. Jesus was created in their own image, according to their prejudices.

Jennifer LeClaire of Charisma News urged the church to rise up and get equipped to preach an unadulterated gospel to a people group finding new ways to justify sin. While she is against gay marriage, LeClaire encouraged readers to extend love and kindness to homosexuals without neglecting the teachings in the Bible.

"We need to pray. We need to write NBC and Universal Television and The District, who are parties to this show, and make our voice heard," she wrote. "We need to support Christian TV and film producers who have a good message. And, again, we need to understand how to share the Good News with a gay community who desperately needs a radical encounter with the love of God."
