'Naruto Shippuden' spoilers, plot news: Upcoming episodes to tell background story of the Sage of Six Paths

The upcoming episode of "Naruto Shippuden" will tell the untold story of the infamous Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo. Known as the founder of ninshu, which gave way to the existence of the world of shinobi, Hagoromo is the son of the series reigning villainess, Otsutsuki Kaguya. Although the episode is filler or non-canon, it will tell more about the relationship of Hagoromo to his mother and also to his twin brother, Hamura.

The previous episode 460 of "Naruto Shippuden" titled "Otsutsuki Kaguya" told the story of the fair maiden who descended from the heavens. The episode started off with Kaguya introducing herself to the ruler of the Land of Sou, Lord Tenjin. As beautiful and innocent as she appears, she possesses a mysterious power. Lord Tenjin fell in love with Kaguya, and the latter was sheltered in a house as Tenjin's concubine.

Kaguya's arrival in the Land of Sou was also noted by the people from the Land of Ka, the rival nation of Sou. Ka's ruler wanted to invade Sou, and he also wanted also to have the celestial maiden for himself. While Ka was very aggressive in waging a war, Lord Tenjin preferred not to engage in a fight and even threatened those in his country to be executed if they would make any move to provoke Ka.

As the Ka soldiers tried to abduct Kaguya, she unleashed her otherworldly powers and killed almost all men in the group. In retaliation, the Lord of Ka asked Lord Tenjin to live up to his words and execute Kaguya, who was witnessed by many to murder several people of Ka with her powers. Although he was fond of Kaguya, Lord Tenjin ordered his own men to pursue her to be executed. Meanwhile, Kaguya and her handmaiden rushed to the Chakra Tree, the tree that would later on cause the quandary of Naruto and the rest of the shinobi world in the present time.

Kaguya ate the fruit of the tree and gave her immense power to activate the first Infinite Tsukuyomi. In the process, she acquired the Rinne-Sharingan as her third eye. The final scene showed everyone else in the land, including Lord Tenjin, being bound to the tree as Kaguya swore that she and her children will rule the world.

The upcoming episode 461 titled "Hagoromo and Hamura" will pick up where the Episode 460 left off. Kaguya will give birth to a twin, which will share with her the power that she acquired from the Chakra fruit. In the episode, people will finally see the events that led Hagoromo and Hamura to steal their own mother away.
