After seven months of having filler episodes, the recent episode of "Naruto Shippuden" finally returned to canon and it featured the next stage of the ongoing Fourth Great Shinobi War. The episode featured the showdown between the latest "Naruto" supervillain, Otsutsuki Kaguya and the Leaf Village's famous Team 7, composed of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and their team leader, Kakashi. However, the upcoming two episodes of the highly successful anime series are expected to be new fillers, although it will tell more about the Rabbit Goddess and her two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura.

The Episode 459 of the anime series entitled "She of the Beginning" started off with Madara being betrayed by Black Zetsu. The Black Zetsu revealed that he only used Madara to complete the Infinite Tsukuyomi and gather enormous amounts of chakra from every ninja who are under the strong genjutsu. The accumulated chakra was then used to resurrect Kaguya, the mother of the Sage of Six Paths and is also considered to be the strongest chakra user who has ever lived.

At first, the intention of Kaguya was not clear, although she revealed that she could not let people destroy the land that she considers her "nursery." Afterwards, she sent everyone else into a volcanic dimension where Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi and Obito almost fell to the boiling hot lava.

Kaguya noticed the chakra of Hagoromo's sons, Ashura and Indra, contained in the bodies of Naruto and Sasuke. She knew that they are the reincarnations of her grandchildren, and Hagoromo has granted the two the power to seal her away. While Naruto and Sasuke reminded her of her own children, she couldn't help but feel angered as she recalled how Hagoromo and Hamura sealed their own mother after Kaguya shared her power with them. The final scene of the episode showed Black Zetsu coming out of Kaguya's arms and engulfed half of Naruto and Sasuke's bodies.

The upcoming episodes 460 and 461 of the series, entitled "Kaguya Otsutsuki" and "Hagoromo and Hamura," respectively, are new stories that do not exist in the "Naruto" manga. However, the next episodes are expected to tell more about Kaguya's origin and how she acquired such power.
