'Naruto Shippuden' spoilers news: Anime returning to canon after 1 episode; Next episode will explain why Hagoromo and Hamura sealed Kaguya
The upcoming episode of "Naruto Shippuden" will feature another background story for one of the most intriguing characters of the shinobi world. Last week, the highly popular anime series told the story of the progenitor of chakra, Otsutsuki Kaguya. This time, "Naruto Shippuden" will show the early life of the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo, together with his twin brother Hamura. As the background stories of the Otsutsuki clan are not present in the original manga series "Naruto," the previous and forthcoming episodes can be considered as fillers. However, the anime is expected to return to canon after one episode.
Episode 461 titled "Hagoromo and Hamura" will pick up after the events of the previous episode, when Kaguya ate the fruit of the God tree or shinju, gaining access to an enormous amount of power and giving birth to the concept of chakra. In the process, she grew a third eye of rinne sharingan, enabling her to cast the first infinite Tsukuyomi upon the world. As a result, everyone else in the land including Lord Tenji, the man Kaguya fell in love with and the father of her children, was bound to the shinju.
According to Hagoromo, Kaguya ate the chakra fruit in hopes to end all conflicts in the world. She wants to use her power to stop the war among people and bring peace. However, he also noted that his mother began to distrust people, thinking that they do not deserve peace. The upcoming episode will give the viewers a glimpse of how Kaguya raised her children and shared the power she obtained from the shinju with them. However, as already mentioned in the series, both Hagoromo and Hamura chose to seal their own mother with a very powerful jutsu due to her descent to madness.
Meanwhile, Saiyan Island reported that after Episode 461, "Naruto Shippuden" will go back to canon after the background stories of Kaguya, Hagoromo and Hamura. After this week's episode, the series will revisit the currently ongoing fight between Kakashi's Team 7 and Kaguya with Episode 462 titled "I Created the Past."
