With only 28 days left to find the perfect wedding gift for Naruto and Hinata, Shikamaru is close to losing his mind. For someone who does not at all fancy over thinking things, Konoha's genius cloud watcher refuses to settle for something simple and conventional this time around.

While the first two episodes of "Naruto Shippuden's" new arc featured Iruka's struggle to give Naruto the perfect congratulatory message, and then on Team Guy's hilarious struggles to come up with the weirdest wedding gifts, episode 496 will be all about Shikamaru and his teammate, Chouji's, take on what married life is all about.

Titled "Steam and Food Pills," the upcoming episode will mostly be based on the third chapter of Shou Hinata's light novel, "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding," and perhaps a little of the fifth chapter as well.

Chapter 3 of the source novel covered Shikamaru and Chouji's gift ideas, while chapter 5 was about Sakura and Ino's competitive quest to outdo each other's ideas. The anime could also feature a romantic storyline between Shikamaru and Suna's female ninja, Temari, as hinted in the trailer for the next episode. What kind of gift will Chouji and Shikamaru come up with? Will Temari be able to help out, or will she end up complicating things?

On the other hand, will Sakura and Ino be able to get past their competitive natures soon enough to work together instead of against each other before they run out of time? And will Iruka ever be able to come up with the perfect congratulatory message to the former student he hardly really knew anymore?

"Naruto Shippuden" gets one episode closer to Naruto and Hinata's big day on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo.

Meanwhile, Otaku Vines has shared the complete February to March schedule of episodes for "Naruto Shippuden," which shows that the Naruto–Hinata arc will end with episode 498, which airs on March 9. There is still no information on whether the anime will end by then or if additional episodes can be expected before the spin-off series featuring Naruto and Hinata's son, Boruto, launches in April.
