'Naruto' Sequel Release Date: Hits Big Screen August 2015
Fans were saddened when the Naruto Manga bid goodbye to avid readers a few months ago. However, it's not really the end of Naruto. A Naruto movie is slated for release in August this year, which is rumored to be titled as "Naruto: The New Era Project."
The new movie will reportedly feature Bolt, Naruto's son. Masashi Kishimoto, manga creator, said, "I'm frantically thinking up a story for Bolt. I've not even had a chance to catch my breath after finishing the series."
Animators for Naruto are also preparing for another movie, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," which will revolve around the time we first meet Bolt. "Boruto" is a pun of Naruto's name, which is based on a hero and his special fighting skills. Bolt was first introduced in Naruto manga series on its 700th chapter. He has a sister named Himawari, although it is still unclear whether Himawari will be included in the movie storyline.
Kishimoto said fans should look forward to Sarada's appearance. Sarada, the daughter of Sasuke and Sakura, will be sharing a special bond with Bolt. Kishimoto said, "I conceived a story in which Bolt and [Sasuke's daughter] Sarada appear."
"Naruto the Movie" earned ¥1.47B or US$12.1 on its first day alone. Considering its success, several more Naruto movies are expected to be released in the coming years.
