"Narcos" is one of Netflix's most anticipated drama shows to return this year, and season 2 will definitely bring action-packed episodes including the killing of drug kingpin, Pablo Escobar.

Escobar's story will finally come to a close when season 2 kicks off later this year, with the story focusing on his encounters with the police leading to his death. The notorious drug lord was able to escape the La Catedral prison, but his days as a free man did not last long. The Colombian police eventually ended Escobar's life after shooting him while he was on a rooftop after being a fugitive for over a year.

During an interview with Chelsea Handler for her show titled "Chelsea," Pablo Escobar's portrayer, Waner Moura shared his thoughts on how season 2 will give closure to his storyline. Season 1 tackled 10 years of Escobar's life, but season 2 will focus mainly on the month he was killed. "It's all about Pablo on the run," said Moura (via Entertainment Weekly). "It's from the day Pablo escapes to his death."

Serie composer Pedro Bromfman also weighed in on his work for the show, stating how he arranged the musical scoring to further emphasize Pablo's emotions and make viewers feel it too."We tried to stay away from the electronics as much as possible, and the '80s and synthesizers, and really stayed with the organic sounding. So real instruments and real sounds that are brought into the computer, and then played around with or manipulated," Bromfman told iDigital Times. "[Escobar] started going a little mad and a little paranoid and so we altered the music and started shifting it, distorting the elements. Getting his themes and his melodies and just making them a little weirder, so when he was in that mood the music was also playing that and hopefully helping the audience feel that."

Netflix has yet to announce if the show will go beyond season 2, but if it will, a story involving a different set of characters involved in drug trade can be expected.

Tune in to the season 2 premiere of "Narcos" which airs Sept. 2, Friday on Netflix.
