One of the most talked-about series last year was "Mr. Robot," and the newly released promo clip just gives fans more to look forward to in the forthcoming season.

USA has yet to announce a definitive release date for season 2, but the trailer is nothing short of exciting. The clip did not show footages from season two, which might have caused some fans to be disappointed. On the other hand, it featured Elliot (Rami Malek) in various areas around the city of New York like Times Square, the subway and his apartment while discussing the country's current state. Keeping true to the season 1 plot, he expressed his frustration with the "financial inequality facing the nation and the rotten, evil people that run the majority of corporations," as Polygon reported.

"The truth is, we have more power than they think. The power to take action, to choose to do something," Elliot said in the show's first official teaser. "Together, we can change the world, change our future, and there's nothing they can do to stop us."

The show has proved in its freshman run that it is very promising, as it even received some Golden Globe love as well as positive reviews. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the plot will pick up on the events that will take place after the first season finale episode. Fans saw in the last episode that Elliot and society successfully executed their grand hack, as they subsequently took down Evil Corp and turned the world "upside down."

In an interview with Nerdist, creator/executive producer Sam Esmail shared how the storyline will take shape in season 2. He mentioned that the next season will focus on Elliot "really negotiating with himself."

"Mr. Robot" season 2 will have its much-anticipated return to TV screens this summer. The series' first promo clip can be viewed here.
