Motorola Droid Turbo vs Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Review: Specs Comparison - Style And Design Spell The Difference

The Motorola Droid Turbo and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge are both impressive devices even though the Note Edge does manage to overwhelm its competition in terms of style and design.
The Note Edge has a stunning curved tip on the right side of its screen, a feature guaranteed to grab attention. On the other hand, the Droid Turbo is almost militaristic in design but has good design elements which have long been a hallmark of devices from Motorola.
As for display, the Droid Turbo has a 5.2-inch QHD AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel density of 565 pixels per inch. Compared to this the Note Edge has a bigger 5.6-inch QHD Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, providing a pixel density of 524 pixels per inch. However, the Note Edge with its independent curved tip allows users to check notifications without interfering with the main screen. It can even be used as an alarm clock.
Both the Note Edge and the Droid Turbo have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chip along with the Quad-core Krait 450 CPU clocked at 2.7 GHz and the Adreno 420 GPU. Both are sold with 32 GB and 64 GB onboard storage and have the same 3 GB of RAM.
When it comes to external memory, the Droid Turbo has no card slot while the Note Edge has a microSD slot, providing the option to increase its external memory up to 128 GB.
The rear camera on the Note Edge is a 16-megapixel shooter while the Droid Turbo has a better 21-megapixel camera. In front, the Droid Turbo camera has a 2-megapixel version while the Note Edge has a 3.7 megapixel camera.
In terms of pricing, there is a huge difference as the Droid Turbo can be purchased with a two-year contract for $199 while the Note Edge is priced at $399 with a two-year contract.
