The Motorola flagship smartphone, Moto X 2016, has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculation all over the internet for the past couple of months. New reports coming from Venture Beat suggest that the new device is being rebranded and will come out to the market anytime soon as Moto Z.

According to the report, the handset will be released in two versions – the Moto Z Play and the other as Moto Z Style. It will allegedly be launched in June; however, the company has yet to provide specific details with regard to its development, much less its release date.

Apparently, Motorola has followed the huge step Sony has recently taken by rebranding their flagship smartphone from Xperia Z to Xperia X. Rumor has it that the Moto Z Style will be the top of the line version, which will come out with a thinner and has a slightly better overall design compared to the Moto Z Play variation.

As of the moment, nothing has been confirmed yet by Motorola; however, many fans have already predicted what makes the new device. Know Your Mobile reported that the new Moto Z Style will run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm, along with 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It will also have a 32 GB internal storage capacity, which is said to be expandable through a microSD card. The publication added that the device will carry a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display.

On the other hand, the Moto Z Play will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, along with 2 GB RAM. It will also have 16 GB onboard storage capacity.

For now, fans will have to wait for Motorola or Lenovo to confirm the reports. It is said that the company is expected to launch the device at the upcoming Lenovo Tech World event on June 9 in San Francisco.
