Moto X (2014) vs Droid Turbo Comparison: Specs, Price and Features Review - Great Design vs Great Specs

The Moto X and the Droid Turbo are both from Motorola, but they are two birds of different feathers. Some have even described the spec-heavy Droid Turbo as the less charming cousin of the Moto X.
Design
A major difference between the two devices is their design. The Droid Turbo has minimal curves, capacitive buttons on screen, a plastic frame and a back panel in ballistic nylon or Kevlar. The Droid Turbo is also much heavier and thicker than the Moto X, which has a premium metal frame and a back panel that can be customized with a variety of materials such as wood, bamboo and leather on the Moto Maker website.
Display
The display on the Droid Turbo screams quality as it has a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch. Compared to this, the Moto X has an AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 424 pixels per inch.
Specs
Both devices come with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system which can be upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop. The Droid Turbo has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU while the Moto X has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU.
Memory
As they are both manufactured by Motorola, the Droid Turbo and the Moto X do not have any memory card slots, and so external storage cannot be added. In terms of RAM, the Droid Turbo has 3 GB while the Moto X has 2 GB.
Battery
The Moto X has a non-removable 2300 mAh battery while the Droid Turbo has a much better 3900 mAh battery that can last for 48 hours.
Price
The Droid Turbo costs $199 with a two-year contract while the Moto X costs $99 with a similar contract.
