Mortal Kombat X Characters List: The Return Of Quan Chi

Several new characters have been added to the tenth installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise, which will release on April 14<sup>th 2015. In September, rumors noted that several characters like Kotal Kahn, Scorpion and Sub Zero will reappear in the series that has achieved iconic status among fans and video gamers alike.

Among the other rumors that are currently circulating on the Internet is that Freddy Kurger is also going to make an appearance in Mortal Kombat X. Hardcore Gamer caught this clue after most had missed it. Hardcore Gamer stated that gamers were concentrating on deciphering the character clues that series creator Ed Boon was tweeting, instead of looking at screenshots already available.

Using them Hardcore Gamer predicted that Freddy Kruger will return, as a silhouette of him wearing a hat is clearly visible in the screenshots of the character selection screen.

The team at the helm of the Mortal Kombat series has also confirmed that Quan Chi the sorcerer will return. Also included was an official trailer in which Quan Chi is seen fighting one of his enemies.

As for Quan Chi he has been a villain in the series for a long time, and first speared in the TV series titled Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm. Paste Magazine quotes the series' executive producer Shaun Himmerick who states that "he will play a major part in the Mortal Kombat X story,".

Quan Chi will be another playable character in Mortal Mortal Kombat X and he has three power variations. When he is a Sorcerer, he makes use of spells to enhance his power or to cause damage. While he is a Summoner, he can summon creatures such as supersized bats to battle his enemies. He is most powerful in his Warlock mode as he can open portals between various dark dimensions and use them to his advantage.
