Revenge will be served on Halloween in the upcoming episode of ABC's top-rating comedy series "Modern Family" season 8.

Titled "Halloween 4: The Revenge of Rod Skyhook," the sitcom's next episode will be a Halloween special. According to the official synopsis for episode 5, Luke plans to have a Halloween party, but it won't be the monster bash he dreamed of and is at risk of being the worst party of the year. Sensing how Luke needs help, the rest of the Dunphys realize that all his party needs are a visit from a special character: Rod Skyhook. With some adult supervision and a bit of promotion, the Dunphys band together to come up with an unforgettable celebration of Halloween.

Meanwhile, at the Tucker-Pritchett household, Cam crosses paths with his Halloween nemesis. Since he is known to have a bad temper, Lily and Mitchell will try to save the day by keeping Cam from going to the dark side. Over at Jay's, the Pritchett patriarch will find out that Manny is heading to a party at the home of an old rival. To get even, Jay enlists Manny to deliver a trick his enemy won't ever forget.

In the previous episode "Weathering Heights," Phil and Manny were the main focus of the story. The Dunphy patriarch was invited by a local news station to make a TV appearance for a real-estate segment, where he met Rainer Shine ("Castle" alum Nathan Fillion), the smooth-talking weatherman he admires very much. Phil eventually became friends with him, but their friendship was immediately compromised when Rainer kissed Haley.

Meanwhile, Manny made a "Hamilton" parody video as part of his college application to Juilliard for playwriting. He discovered the internet was already full of "Hamilton" parodies created for college applications, and he was forced to come up with a fresh, new idea fast. Manny ended up making a heartwarming montage about being inspired by his parents.

The 8th season of "Modern Family" airs every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
