'Mistresses' season 4 spoilers: Kate enters the dating scene, Marc helps April find her life passion, Joss continues to heal from her past, Karen and Robert's working relationship becomes complicated

Following a two-week hiatus, ABC's provocative drama series "Mistresses" season 4 will return next week with new episodes featuring the complicated lives of Dr. Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim), April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes), Josslyn "Joss" Carver (Jes Macallan) and Kate Davis (Tabrett Bethell).

This coming Monday's episode will see Harry's single sister Kate begin dating and Marc helping April to discover what she wants in life, while Karen and Robert's working relationship gets complicated. However, she later on discovers that it is not as easy as it seems. Harry Embarks on a new career venture, while April finally figures out her passion in life with Marc's help. Meanwhile, the boundaries between Robert and Karen seem to become even more blurred. Robert is the dashing nanny of Karen's child, but there might be more to their relationship as the season progresses. Joss also has a lot to deal with as she continues to recover from the aftermath of the previous year in her life.

Since there is no mistress among the four leads when the show kicked off back in May, April's portrayer Rochelle Aytes clarified why the title still works. "There is a misconception about the show," the actress told Parade. "It is not just about these women having affairs; it is also about these women, who are friends, dealing with different types of relationships and how they get through it, more than the name Mistresses."

Unfortunately, "Mistresses" will not be on this week due to the NBA Finals Game 5. Catch the fourth season's episode 3 which airs next Monday, June 20 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
