The fourth season of "Mistresses" recently kicked off a lot of revelations, and viewers will definitely see more drama up ahead as Karen, April and Joss continue their journey to self-discovery.

In the next episode airing on July 4 will see the three main characters face difficulties in their respective careers while they continue finding balance in their personal lives. As noted in the official synopsis for next week's episode titled "Lean In," Karen speaks to her agent Barbara to pitch a new book proposal, but it does not go according to plan because Barbara is not impressed with any of Karen's ideas. An interview with a shock-jock host goes wrong which leads Karen to stand up for herself, and she will have to face the consequences of what she did. April decides to quit her job after Michael kissed her, but she does not want Marc to know so she told him that she was fired instead. April eventually finds out about Michael's secrets which put her in a complicated situation. Joss and Harry are still adjusting to their relationship as co-workers and they must find some balance with their new setup. Joss is now Harry's publicist, but things might be more complicated as she continues to have difficulties with her PTSD from what happened last year.

Joss' struggle after everything that has happened to her made a huge dent in her life, and according to Carter Matt, it is "nice" to see the series shed light on a real-life difficulty a lot of people go through. "While we do not like to see Joss struggle by any means, it is nice that the show is trying to make this PTSD into a storyline that lasts beyond just an episode or two this season. This is the sort of thing that would stick with you, maybe over the course of your life," the publication notes.

How will Karen, April and Joss will deal with the drama in their lives? Find out in "Mistresses" season 4 which airs every Monday night at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
