Miranda Lambert news: Soldier who made singer cry at Hartford concert meets her

After making Grammy winner Miranda Lambert cry at her concert in Hartford, Connecticut last week, Army veteran Jeff Tudisca is set to meet her at another concert stop on Friday, Aug. 26.
Tudisca first came face-to-face with Lambert when she performed at the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford on Friday, Aug. 19. While it wasn't the singer/songwriter's first time to tear up onstage, Friday's concert was a particularly emotional one that had Lambert so choked up that she couldn't finish her song.
While the multi-awarded singer was singing the first verse of her 2009 hit "The House That Built Me," she spotted a homemade sign in the crowd. The sign, which was made by Tudisca, read, "3 combat tours... Your voice was the last thing I heard every night. Thank you."
After locking eyes with Tudisca and mouthing "Really?" she had the sign brought up onstage, from where she showed it to the audience. The singer got so emotional over the sign that when she attempted to finish the song, she couldn't pull through. Clips taken by those in the crowd showed that Tudisca, who was in the pit, was moved to tears as well.
"I can't do it!" Lambert said as she wiped tears from her face. She asked the crowd to help her with the rest of the song as she stepped aside to wipe her face and take a drink.
Tudisca, who had served in Afghanistan and in Iraq, was unable to meet Lambert at the end of the Hartford concert.
On Wednesday, Aug. 24, Broadway and Cory Meyers of Country 92.5 FM heard about Tudisca and his sign and had the Army veteran call into their radio show. Cory then told Tudisca that he will be meeting Lambert backstage at her concert at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Friday night.
Speaking with the radio DJs, Tudisca said that while he's excited to meet Lambert, he's not sure what he'll say to her. The Army vet also said that he hopes that both he and the country music superstar will be able to hold it together.
